The Fairbanks Building, Omaha, NE

Mixed-Use

In 2013, this building was completely renovated from a vacant warehouse into 12 luxury apartments and three commercial spaces. The renovation cost over $3 million and generated federal historic tax credits. The building was known as the Antiquarium Book Shop. It was one of the last historic assets remaining to be renovated in Omaha’s Old Market District. The 5-story project involved extensive engineering, which included installing an elevator and installing new beams along the First and Second Floors.
